Rall W. Coleman 89 of Steubenville died Thursday, January 23, 2003 at his residence of natural causes. He was born on January 28 1913 in Steubenville a son of the late Charles and Marie Diekmann Coleman. He was an elder at Starkdale United Presbyterian Church, Steubenville, Masonic Lodge 45 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Steubenville Shriners, Aladdin Temple, Columbus, OH and Wintersville Lions Club. He was a 1932 graduate of Steubenville High School and attended Ohio Wesleyan University. He was an active member of his community and church, and his hobbies included traveling and gardening. U.S. Marine Corp veteran of W.W.II. Retired in 1978 from Weirton Steel where he was a Fuel Test Engineer. He was preceded in death by a brother Charles Coleman, sisters Helen Barnes and Frances Morgan. He is survived by his wife Mary Robertson Coleman, daughters Joyce (Gerald) Palmer of Steubenville and Mary Ann Coleman of Baton Rouge, LA, grandchildren John (Fern) Palmer of Carbondale, IL, Mary Ann (Scott) Freeze of Birmingham, AL, Marc (Tracy) Alaia of Monroeville, PA, Maria (Michael) Burke of Abington, PA, Geoff Palmer of Steubenville, Jennifer (Bob) Shearer of Baton Rouge, LA, Ben Kennedy of Arlington, VA, nephews Charles (Kitty) Coleman of Richmond, OH and James Barnes of Steubenville, two nieces, 6 great grandchildren, several great nieces and nephews, several great great nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville on Sunday from 12-7. Friends may call on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services at 10:30 A.M. at Starkdale U.P. Church, Steubenville with Rev. John M. Zuercher officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville. Memorial contributions can be made to: Shriners Hospital, Ohio Valley Hospice or Starkdale U.P. Church. Masonic service 4 P.M. Sunday.
