Pauline Blaner Smith 86 of Wintersville, Ohio died Thursday, April 21, 2005 at her residence of natural causes. She was born in Empire, Ohio on March 5, 1918 a daughter of the late Peter and Dora Zdinak Blaner. Pauline was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the former owner and operator of Pauline’s Shop and Smith’s Ready To Wear. Preceding Pauline in death were her husband Lester “Smitty” Smith on December 2, 2003; one sister Mary Billie and two brothers Mike and Peter Blaner, Jr. Pauline is survived by her children Gary L. (Mary Lucille) Smith and Leiann (Lee) Pownall of Wintersville, Kathy (Ken) Smith of San Diego, CA and C. Robbie Smith of Bloomingdale; nine grandchildren Lesley Pownall, Bryan (Shanna) Pownall, Renee Smith, Dr. Shannon Smith, Lona Rae Smith, Kari Lynn Smith, Lauriann Smith, Robert Smith and A.J. Smith; and brother Andy “Babe” (Anne) Blaner of Toronto, Ohio.
