Paul V. Taylor 88 of Steubenville, Ohio died Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Riverside Manor in Newcomerstown, Ohio. He was born in Burgettstown, PA on March 13, 1915 a son of the late Conley D. and Verna Hill Taylor. Paul was a retired State Farm Insurance agent in Steubenville for 26 years. He was a member of Calvary Fifth U.M. Church, Methodist Mens and the church choir; American Legion Argonne Post 33 in Steubenville; Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville; and a fifty year member of Lone Star Masonic Lodge 175 F&AM in Newcomerstown. Paul served in the Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean I. Richmond Taylor; one grandson Thomas N. Taylor in 1985; one brother Russell Taylor and two sisters Etta Barnett and Mae Nicodemus Wagner. Surviving are one son Thomas C. (Christina) Taylor of Steubenville; one daughter Jean Anne (George) Mavromatis of Toronto; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and one brother Robert Taylor of Crestline, Ohio. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial at Union Cemetery, Steubenville, Ohio.
