Paul R. Soltis 79 of Wintersville, Ohio died Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at Bolger Country Club Manor, Steubenville. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 4, 1923 the son of the late Andrew Soltis and the late Ann Stauffer Soltis Cashel. He was retired from National Steel Corp., where he was a pipe fitter in the 54” Strip Steel pipe shop. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Moose Lodge, Weirton, WV, American Legion Post 557, Wintersville, and Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. He is survived by his wife Ruth Fisher Soltis whom he married on December 27, 1944 at the Holy Name Rectory by Msgr. Gilbert; daughter Joan (Dick) Davis of Steubenville; granddaughter Jennifer Davis of Pittsburgh, PA, grandson Rich (Valerie) Davis of Steubenville; and 5 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church with Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery, Steubenville. Vigil service 3:45 P.M. Friday.
