It's interesting...I haven't lived in the Ohio Valley since I graduated high school thirty-seven years ago, yet it will always be my home. When I was very young, the families I knew - in addition to the Veins and Wukelics - were the Medich's and Petkovitch's. I think I was already in the double digits before I realized I was only related to the first two. Kuma Helen was my godmother and my mom's best friend, and Sophie was my Aunt Dot's best friend. My own best friend (Debbie Frantz) lived right next door to Mr and Mrs Medich (and eventually Annie and George). In fact, I think Lew was our first crush. With this note, I honor the passing of your father/husband, as well as a family that, as a young child, felt like my own.

Mrs. Medich & Family, We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Medich. An obituary can only highlight a small portion of one's life and his memory will live on in the hearts of those that loved him and knew him. I will always reamember his bright smile and funny remarks. May you find comfort in knowing that he is an Angel in heaven now and with his loved ones who have preceded him. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of those whose lives he touched. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. May you find comfort and peace in knowing that he was loved by many people and may God Bless and comfort you and your family during this difficult time. May his memory be eternal. Dear Paula... I just wanted to offer my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I still remember how sweet and funny your dad was when he would sometimes give me a ride home from cheerleading practice...way back in the day! I know his good memories will comfort your hearts. May God Bless you all, Sincerely, Monica Gilmer Gillison
