Paul J. Pashke, 83, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at his home. He was born May 29, 1930 in Lilly, PA a son of the late Raymond and Matilda Smith Pashke. Paul was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and its Men’s Club. He was also a member of Wintersville American Legion Post # 557; DAV and Knights of Columbus Council # 3734 in Weirton, WV. Paul was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War and worked as a superintendant in the electrical department in Weirton Steel. Preceding Paul in death were his daughter Mary Cross; brother Raymond Pashke and two sisters Mary Louise Pashke and Carol Ann Snyder. Surviving are his wife Joann Ralston Pashke; son Donald (Marlene) Pashke of Atwater, OH; daughter Cathy Mulrooney of Macedonia, OH; four grandchildren Beth Ann and Sean Cross and Ryan and Erin Mulrooney; three brothers Kevin (Dialene) Pashke of Mingo Junction, OH, Nial (Dorothy) Pashke of Mingo Junction, OH and Anthony (Valerie) Pashke of Weirton, WV; three sisters Katherine Sohovich of Weirton, WV, Fernand Cox of Wooster, OH and June (Larry) Nicholson of Elizabeth City, NC and sister-in-law Edna Pashke of Erie, PA. Friends may call at Dunlope - Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Thursday 4 – 8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass will celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Friday at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Kurt Kemo officiating. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. I know that Paul is safely home and reunited with Mary and is basking in the glories of his Eternal Home. He was such a GENTLE man and caring, compassionate person.
