Paul Gundrum I, 91, of Wintersville, OH joined Donna, his loving wife of 66 years for all eternity. He passed away September 14, 2017 at Valley Hospice Care Center North. He was born May 9, 1926 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Benedict P. and Catherine G. McCarroll Gundrum. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and retired as a truck driver from Weir Cove Moving and Storage. Preceding Paul in death were his wife Donna L. Gundrum on February 17, 2016; two grandchildren, Paul Gundrum III and Stacy Gundrum and also two brothers, Jerome and Benedict. Surviving are four children, Paul (Linda) Gundrum II, Denise (James) Heilman, Stephen (Linda) Gundrum I, and Donald (Nancy) Gundrum; nine grandchildren, Tod (Beth) Gundrum, Jon (Holly) Heilman, Christopher Heilman, Justin Heilman, Erin Heilman, Jason (Rosa) Gundrum, Dawnel (Ronald) Dayton, Stephen (Christina) Gundrum II and Tiffany (Mark) Lockhart; 17 great grandchildren, Tessa and Blane Gundrum, Nicholas and Nicole Heilman, Hayden, Harrison, and Heath Heilman, Austin and Alexander Heilman, Tyler and Alyssa Gundrum, Halie, Anna, and Eli Dayton, Keirsten Gundrum and Eli and Ian Lockhart. All because two people fell in love. Also surviving are six brothers and sisters; Robert, Albert, Catherine, Rose, Alice, and Mary Family and friends will be received at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Tommy Mills officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben where Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will provide military honors.
