Paul E. Granatir, Jr., 86, of Wintersville, Ohio formerly of Philadelphia, PA died Sunday, July 8, 2007 at Gables Care Center. He was born February 4, 1921 in Mingo Junction, Ohio a son of the late Paul E. and Mary Mazur Granatir, Sr. Paul was a member of Knights of Columbus Council # 289 in Philadelphia, PA and a WW II Army veteran. Preceding Paul in death were two sisters Mary and Alice Granatir; brother Michael Granatir and step-mother Suzanna Smeriga Granatir. Surviving are five brothers John Granatir of Los Angeles, CA, George (June) Granatir of Wintersville, OH, Edward Granatir of Steubenville, OH, Andrew (Donna) Granatir of Steubenville, OH and Daniel (Alice) Granatir of Bloomingdale, OH; sister Mary (Glen) Donahue of Richmond, OH and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 9:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. Vigil service Tuesday 3:45 p.m. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
