Paul E. Calland 80 of Wintersville, OH died Saturday, January 26, 2002 at his residence of natural causes. He was born in Summerfield, OH on October 3, 1921 a son of the late Frank H. and Jessie Miracle Calland. He was a member of Starkdale United Presbyterian Church, Steubenville, OH, also a member of American Legion Post 557 Wintersville, OH, Disabled American Veterans, Pilgrim Lodge # 691 F&AM. He served in the Army Air Corp. during WWII, and was a P.O.W. for over two years. Retired from Ohio Bell where he was a supply foreman, and was a member of the Pioneers Club. Proceeded in death by his wife: Beverly I. Lee Calland, she died 10-13-1994, brother: Max Calland. Survived by sister: Betty Hatcher and her husband Robert L. of Mt. Lebanon, PA, four nieces and two nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M., where Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Michael Eickhoff officiating. Burial at Scroggsfield Cemetery, Mechanicstown, OH.
