Paul Dean Young, 87, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on April 12, 2024 in Half Moon, New York. Paul was born in Steubenville, Ohio on June 30, 1936 a son of the late Frank & Sarah Kempton Young. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before working as a Weigh Master for the Signod Corporation. Paul spent many years as a trustee with Labelle View Church of Christ and gave 48 years to the Fort Steuben Council of the Boy Scouts of America. A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather Paul loved to repair clocks as a hobby.
Paul is preceded in death by his loving wife Marilyn Jean Higgins Young; sister Delpha Jean Deavers and three brothers Ralph Melvin, Lloyd Lee & Charles William Young.
Paul is survived by three sons Paul Allan (Tammy), Gregg (Deborah) & Scott K. Young; two brothers Terry L. (Carol) & Martin Young; six grandchildren Marysa, Jersey & Justin Young, Suzanne Farhan, Shannon Ives & Megan Flashing and nine great-grandchildren Harper, Landry, Holland, Aurora, Teyla, Nicholas, Elijah, Mayzi & Owenn
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with George Irvin officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers or trees, please consider a memorial donation in Paul’s name to the LaBelle View Church of Christ, P.O. Box 1768, Steubenville, Ohio 43952.
