Patsy V. Felmet, 83, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at Trinity Medical Center, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born in New Holland, Ohio on August 20, 1931 the daughter of the late Harold I. and Geneva V. Adams Speakman. Patsy was a stay-at-home mother and housewife for many years, taking a job at Carlisle’s at the Fort Steuben Mall in later years. She was a former past president of the Steubenville Jr. Women’s Club and secretary of the Jefferson County Mental Health Association, which started the first mental health clinic in Jefferson County. She was an active member of the Steubenville Players for several years. She is survived by her husband John W. Felmet, who cherished and adored her for nearly 62 years and mother of four children, Bryan (Kim) Felmet of Steubenville, Lynne (Frank) Talleda of Miami, FL, David (Rose) of Dayton, Ohio, and Grant Felmet of Cleveland, Ohio; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and a sister Evelyn (Russell) Jacobs of New Holland.Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday from 1 until the time of funeral service at 4 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Philip Makari officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to American Diabetes Association..
