Obituary For Patricia A. McClain

Patricia A. McClain, 76, of Wintersville, OH passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at U.P.M.C. Passavant. She was born in Ada, MO on July 2, 1940 a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Ruza Martin. Patricia was a member of Wintersville Church of Christ and retired in 1990 from Indian Creek School District, where she was a teacher. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. McClain and her brother Charles “Chuck” Martin. Patricia is survived by her son Robert C. “Bob” (Jennifer) McClain; sisters Shirley (Bill) Carnahan and Nancy (Dave) Miller; brother Jim Martin; grandchildren Lauren McClain and Braeden McClain. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Thursday from 6-8p.m. Services will be private.

James Martin II

Living in Texas I have never had the chance to meet my aunt, but my father has told me so many wonderful things in this the end of her life on this earth. He proudly told me of a time she was a young girl competing in a speech competition and listening to her on the radio as she won. She sounded like a wonderful intelligent woman who brought knowledge and light into the lives of her students. I'm sorry for her loss and never getting to meet her - but she will always be remembered among her friends and family
