Opal Moore, 103, of Canton, OH died Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Stone Crossing Care Center, Canton, OH. She was born in Evansville, WV on September 17, 1911 a daughter of the late Floyd and Abbie Stevenson Weaver. Opal was Methodist by faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George J. Moore; daughter Virginia Moore McClain; grandson Michael McClain and all five of her siblings. Opal is survived by her granddaughters Marsha (Bob) Higbie, Kathy (Pat) Ryan and Christine (Jeff) Wyss; grandson Scott McClain; great grandchildren Aaron and Emily Higbie, Ashley and Nicholas McClain and Travis, Jeremy and Patrick Ryan; great great grandchildren Holly Parker, Alex, Logan and Ethan Ryan, Kayla Crayton, Andrew, Kyleigh and MacKenna Ryan. Family and friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 11:30a.m. until time of service at 12:30p.m. with Rev. Bill Westling officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. The family would like to thank Stone Crossing Care Center and Harbor Light Hospice for all of Opal’s care.

To Opal's Family and Friends: Dad and I knew Opal when she lived at the Canton Regency. She was friends of Ila Doudna. The 4 of us played 12 card Euchre and Opal was sharp at playing cards. She was always gracious and we all had a good time.
