I grew up with Nora and Nick's daughter, Theresa. I visited their home many times over the years. I remember that there was always something home-made and delicious-smelling in the kitchen, and I always appreciated the hospitality Nora and Nick showed everyone who entered their home. Nora's house was always spotless, and she took great pride in her home and her cooking. She cherished her children and her husband. She was extremely smart and displayed a very witty sense of humor. Theresa and I could never outsmart her mother. Nora could sense when Theresa and I were up to something, but let us be children: exploring the world within safe limits and never letting us get into any real trouble. Nora had a wonderfully intrinsic understanding that we needed freedom to explore all that life had to offer. Furthermore, she trusted us to make the right decision. Nora lived her religion but was not self-righteous in her practice of it. Nora enjoyed life. I can hear her laughter and her wit as I write this. To Nora I say: Thank you for letting me be part of your home and for your wonderful daughter, Theresa, who will always be my sister in spirit. Susie Sadowski

I knew Annie was marrying into the right family when so many of Greg's kin made the trek to Oklahoma for their wedding that cold December. Nick and Nora were gracious and loving and I am glad I got to meet them. Greg has so much of his grandparents in him and for that Wag and I are most grateful. We call it "good stock" down here and how lucky Annebelle and Wagner are to be part of the gene pool. Out thoughts and prayers are with you all. Chrissie and Warren Wagner

Speaking on behalf of my entire family, our lives were truly blessed by the unconditional love of the Czaruk family. From the moment my parents landed on Vireo Drive 43 years ago, Thia Nora and Uncle Nick have been such an important part of our lives. Thia Nora, I will always remember you holding court behind the counter in the kitchen. If I could not see you in kitchen window and the weather was nice, I can see you from my car relaxing on the swing. Vireo Drive has lost her matriarch to be rejoined with our Uncle Nick and the rest of the others who have gone before her. Together, they will keep a watchful eye on the rest of us. Thia Nora, thank you and we love you. Uncle Nick and you will always have a permanent place in our hearts. May her memory be eternal.
