Nicholas A. “Nick” Rodriguez, Sr. 81, of Wintersville, OH died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Trinity West. He was born in Mingo Junction, OH on November 20, 1933 a son of the late Manuel and Celia Briones Rodriguez. Nick was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel where he worked in the blast furnace. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Eda M. Lulla Rodriguez and his son Frank Olenick. Nick is survived by his daughter Mary C. Rodriguez of Wintersville; son Nicholas A. (Tammy) Rodriguez, Jr. of Richmond, OH; daughter-in-law Chris Olenick of Dennison, OH; brothers Emanuel Rodriguez of Wintersville and John Rodriguez of Richmond, OH; sisters Mary Ann Faieta of Las Vegas, NV and Lucia (Vince) Monti of Steubenville; grandchildren Jessica Olenick, Nicole Angel Hodgkiss, Kyra (Cory) Hammonds, Nicolas A. Rodriguez III and Aaron Hodgkiss; great grandchildren Kaden Brooks and Julian Hammonds. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Friday 2-4 and 6-8p.m. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Msgr. Kurt Kemo as celebrant. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Vigil services Friday at 7:45p.m.
