Nancy McCleery Mullen died on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 one day after her 91st birthday. She was born on November 14, 1925 in Wheeling, WV the daughter of the late Charles E. and Antoinette Appenzeller McCleery. Nancy was a 1943 graduate of Steubenville High School and graduated on June 16, 1947 from Pennsylvania College of Women (Chatham) in Pittsburgh, PA. She furthered her education at Florida State University, Ashland College and West Liberty University. She was a teacher for many years. She taught in Annapolis, MD and in Ohio at Amsterdam, Steubenville and Toronto High Schools. She also worked for Ohio Power in Cadiz, OH, where she meet her husband George and appeared on Consumer Quiz on Channel 9. Nancy was a past member of the Steubenville Garden Club, Junior Women’s Club, the former 2nd United Presbyterian Church and had attended Bell Chapel United Methodist Church while her health permitted. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years George Mullen and her brother James S. McCleery. Nancy is survived by her daughters Carolyn M. Raderchak of Strasburg, OH and GeorgAnn (Robert) Clemens of Toledo, OH; grandson Erik Raderchak (Crissy Hendershot) of Strasburg, OH. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 10a.m. until time of services at 11:30a.m. with Robert Clemens officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
