Mildred V. “Mimi” Ostovich, 87, of Steubenville, Ohio died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Valley Hospice North. She was born March 16, 1928 a daughter of the late Mile & Ana Momcilovich Petkovich Vein. She was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church; Serbian National Federation and a former member of Petar Krstich Choir. Mimi was retired from the Teamsters. Preceding Mimi in death were her husband Walter “Law” Ostovich; brother Eli Petkovich; sisters Lillian Petkovich, Daisy Woods & Helen Vein.
Mildred is survived by her sister Dorothy (late Eli) Brdar of Sewickley, Pennsylvania; nephews Wayne (Norma) Petkovich of Delaware, Ohio, Daniel (Beth) Ostovich of Wintersville and Michael Toth of Maryland; and a great nephew Daniel (Tracey) Petkovich of Medina, Ohio.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville Ohio on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 2:30 p.m. with Very Rev. Rade Merick officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
Memorials may be directed to Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church Cemetery Endowment Fund.
