Mildred J. Geddis 96 of Steubenville, Ohio died Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at Valley Hospice Palliative Care Unit. She was born in Toronto, Ohio on November 6, 1907 a daughter of the late Samuel and Sara Jane Hannan Geddis. Mildred was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel as a registered nurse. Preceding her in death were five brothers Jim, Bill, John, Tommy and Samuel Geddis; four sisters Nell Griffin, Kathryn Abrams, Margaret Phillips and Mary Jackson; nephew James Griffin and great niece Mary Martin. Mildred is survived by five generations of nieces and nephews including Helen G. Ekey of Steubenville, Marilyn Rinner of Danbury, CT, Virginia Gary of Wellsville, Ohio, William Jackson of New Cumberland and Samuel Geddis and John Geddis both of Toronto, Ohio.
