Mildred H. Sullivan, 97, of Steubenville, died Friday, May 8, 2015 at Sienna Woods. She was born in Wills Creek, Jefferson County on January 22, 1918 the daughter of the late Chester W. and Minnie Brady Walter. She was preceded in death by her husband Burke D. “Sully” Sullivan Sr.; a son Dwight C. “Sully” Sullivan; daughter-in-law Judith Ann “Judy” Sullivan and eleven brothers and sisters.
Mildred was a devout homemaker and Christian. She held church membership at Wintersville Church of Christ and retired from the former Steubenville Pottery as a designer.
She is survived by her children Burke D. (Paulette “Polly”) Sullivan Jr. of Steubenville, Dwain (Linda) Sullivan of Canton, OH and Mark (Maude) Sullivan of Florida; daughter-in-law Beverly Bowman Sullivan of Steubenville; 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday from 3 – 8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Pastor Imre Gulyas officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. Memorials may be directed to Wintersville Church of Christ, 316 Two Ridge Road, Wintersville, OH 43953 or Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943.
