Mildred “Babe” Ardito, 74 of Mingo Junction, Ohio died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Trinity West. She was born in Mingo on August 28, 1930, a daughter of the late Ninko and Danica Drzayich Karas. She was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church; Sveta Petka Kolo; Mingo Senior Citizens and Shanagu Club. Babe was a retired office clerk from Sears. Preceding her in death were an infant sister Helen and two brothers Eli Karas and Peter Karas. Babe is survived by her husband Geno B. Ardito; son Mark Karas of Mingo; two brothers John “Yonk” (Rose) Karas of Mingo and Nick “Kutz” (Marie) Karas of Weirton; two sisters Sophia (Dan) Kakascik of Mingo and Martha (Albert) DiAntonio of Weirton; and three grandchildren Danny, Lacey and Kealy Karas. Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Avenue, Mingo Junction on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. On Friday, friends may call at Holy Resurrection Serbian Church from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. with Very Rev. Rade Merick officiating. (Everyone please meet at church) Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pomen service 7 p.m. Thursday
