Mickey D. Pavkovich 82 of Steubenville, OH died Monday, July 29, 2002 at Trinity West, Steubenville, OH. He was born in Moravia, PA on September 25, 1919 a son of the late Arsenjia and Stana Orell Pavkovich.He was retired from the Boiler Shop at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and most recently employed at Family Toy Warehouse at the Fort Steuben Mall. Mickey was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church and its Mens Club; Pilgrim Lodge 691 F& AM; Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville; Steubenville Shrine Club and A.S.E.R.B.S. Served in Army as a sargeant in the 500th Bomb Squadron during WWII. Mickey was preceded in death by his wife Anne Visnic Pavkovich, whom he married on June 19, 1949 and she died on November 21, 1998; and two brothers Theodore and Michael Pavkovich. Surviving are his daughter Mary Lynn (Gerard) Ricci of Steubenville; two sons Peter D. (Donna) Pavkovich of Louisville, KY and Daniel (Pam) Pavkovich of Smithfield, OH; two sisters Violet Vukovich and Helen Vessella of New Castle, PA; and six grandchildren Shaney (Scott) Schlachter, Ron Blair, Nicholas Ricci, Jeremiah “J.D.” Pavkovich, Anastasia Pavkovich and Stevie Pavkovich. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, OH on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. On Wednesday, Friends may call at Holy Resurrection Church from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral services at 10 a.m. with Rev. Rade Merick officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery, Steubenville. Pomen services 7 p.m. Tuesday and Masonic Lodge 691 services 8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Petar Krstich Choir.
