Michael P. “Mike” Woodland, 65, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 from Covid 19 complications. He was born July 22, 1955 in Steubenville, a son of the late Paul W. Woodland and the late Carol Cooper Redman. A 1973 graduate of SHS, Mike was an avid Big Red fan. Mike was the manager at Newbrough’s in Weirton and a cashier at Steubenville Kroger. Mike was also preceded in death by his brother Rafel “Woody” Woodland.
Mike is survived by four sisters Denise Solomon, Mylinda (Mike) Woodland-Phillips, Carol Kidwell and Danielle Keith; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and two felines Lucy & Ethel.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Troy Thacker officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County Humane Society.
Please wear red and/or black clothing in honor of Mike’s love for Big Red.
