Obituary For Michael A. Wadas

Michael A. Wadas, 72, of Wintersville, Ohio died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Valley Hospice Care Center North.   He was born May 25, 1938 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Andrew and Eleanor McDowell Wadas.  Michael was a member of Steubenville Masonic Lodge #45 and a US Navy veteran.  He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel.  Preceding him in death was his wife Barbara Kay Uselton Wadas on June 18, 2010.  Surviving are his son Michael (Kim) Wadas II of Steubenville, OH and two grandchildren Cameron and Anna Grace Wadas of Steubenville, OH. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville Friday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. where a service will be held Saturday 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Proya officiating.  Burial at Union Cemetery where Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct military honors.  Memorial contributions may be directed to The Judy Maple Foundation, PO Box 118, Powell, OH 43065.  Masonic service will be Friday at 7:45 p.m.

    dear mike and kim, i met you at the funeral home when i came to see barb and i told you i lived in pottery additon and grew up their and was good friends with mike and barb. i wont get to mike's showing but i want you to know mike was a wonderful man. he and your mom were two very special people and i hope all the memories will stay close to you and get you through this bad time. my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this time. in love and friendship sandie

    To the Wadas family.I grew up with your father in Pottery Addition,and I am certain that your father had many great memories of growing up there.We were our own,very special group of kids.Your father was always kind and a good friend to all.
