Mercedes E. Napor, 90, of Wintersville, Ohio died Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Merritt Manor, Toronto, Ohio. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 28, 1914 to the late Thomas and Rose Anna Crawley Loerlein. Merecedes was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church; Wintersville Friendship Club; A.A.R.P. and Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Preceding Mercedes in death were her first husband Donald R. Gaffney in 1944; second husband William Napor in 1987; and two sisters. Mercedes is survived by two daughters Rita (Joseph) Gaffney Duff Dugan of Lakeland, FL and Lynn Gaffney Robinson of Steubenville; stepdaughter Marlene (Joe) Boni of Wintersville; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral liturgy with mass was celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Urban Mission or Salvation Army.
