Melvin B. Miller, 68, of Richmond, OH passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at U.P.M.C. Shadyside in Pittsburgh. He was born in Waynesburg, PA on September 10, 1947 a son of the late Clyde T. and Susan J. Pierson Miller. He was a 1965 graduate of Jefferson Union High School and an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. Melvin retired from Weirton Steel after 31 years as a truck driver and he later worked as an independent contractor for the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He enjoyed restoring antique cars and fixing most things. Melvin also enjoyed stopping at the “Pit-Stop” in Annapolis and hanging out with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Diane Bianchini Miller whom he married April 24, 1978 in Winchester, VA; son Jeremy (Melissa) Miller of Wintersville; daughters Kristy (Brian) Kozel of Chagrin Falls, OH and Sharon Lee of Virginia; brother Donald (Vicki) Miller of Toronto, OH; special cousin Robert Miller of Bloomingdale, OH; grandchildren Aiden and Gage Miller, Emerson Kozel and Danielle Duncan Lee; special neighbor boys Seth and Austin Shuble and Gabriel McGrew; numerous nieces and nephews. He was grandfatherly to all the neighborhood children. His wishes were to have no visitation or funeral service. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial luncheon at Zalenski Family Eatery in Wintersville on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 1:30p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital. The family would like to thank the staff at U.P.M.C. Shadyside for their care of Melvin.
