Mele “Chill” Trbovich, 85, of Steubenville, Ohio died Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Trinity West. He was born February 14, 1926 in Steubenville a son of the late Peter & Anna Smogonovich Trbovich. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Line Gang and Cold Strip. Chill served in Civilian Corps Camp and for over five years as a Merchant Marine during WWII. He was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church and the former Belleview Mens Golf Club. Preceding Chill in death were his son Mark “Pep” Trbovich and two brothers Mike & Rudy Trbovich.Chill is survived by his wife Katherine “Kay” Krnich Trbovich; son Steve (Ruth) Trbovich of Toronto, OH; daughter Debbie Battistel of Steubenville; four grandsons Bernie (Julie) & Mark Battistel and Steve & Joe Trbovich; and sister Melva (Peter) Markel of Steubenville.Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville on Tuesday 4-7 p.m.; where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev.
