A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, it broke our hearts to see you go, god only takes the best, they say that memories are golden, well maybe it is true, but we always wanted memories but we also wanted you, your life was love and labour, your love for our family was true, you did your best for all of us, we will always remember you, we sat beside your bedside, our hearts were crushed and sore, we did our duty till the end, til we could do no more, in tears we watched you sinking, we watched you fade away, and though our hearts were breaking, we knew you could not stay, our lips cannot speak how we loved you, our hearts cannot tell what to say, but god only knows how much we will miss you, in our family your place is here to stay. Pappy will never be forgotten, that simply cannot be , as long as we are living, I will carry him with me, safely tucked within my heart, his light will always shine, a glowing ember never stilled, throughout the end of time, no matter what the future brings or what may lie ahead, I know he will walk with me on the path I tread, so rest my guardian angel, be at peace and let your soul fly free, one day I will join your glorious flight in all eternity. I love you pappy forever and always in my heart! ~Paige smith
