Mary W. Westlake 80 of Lake Wales, FL formerly of Steubenville, OH died Thursday, September 5, 2002 of natural causes at the home of her daughter. She was born in Dillonvale, OH on February 27, 1922 a daughter of the late Frank and Helen A. Gaffney Gerchak. She was a member of Lake Wales Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, and had previously attended Finley United Methodist Church, Steubenville. She was retired from Indian Creek School District, where she had been a cashier. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Michael Westlake, brother Frank James Gerchak, sister Helen Louise Adams. She is survived by her husband Robert M. Westlake of Lake Wales, FL, daughter Roberta Lee Young (John) of Steubenville, sister Thelma Elizabeth Quillen of Steubenville, grandchildren Amber Marie Umphlette of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, Sgt. William Michael Sargeant of Germany, Jennifer Renee Myers of Hilliard, OH, 3 great grandchildren. Private visitation for friends and family will be held on Saturday from Noon until time of service at 1:00 P.M. at Finley United Methodist Church, 958 Lincoln Ave., Steubenville. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
