Obituary For Mary M. Criss Cascioli

Mary M. Criss Cascioli, 91, of Mingo Junction, Ohio died Friday evening at Country Club Manor, Steubenville, Ohio.  She was born August 28, 1919 in Mingo Junction, Ohio the daughter of the late George and Mary M. Simkulic Visyak.  Preceding Mary in death were her first husband William Emmett Criss and second husband Nicholas R. Cascioli; seven brothers: Paul, Andy, Joe, Bill, Harry, Mike, and John Visyak and sister Anna Vasich.  Mary was an active member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, The Our Lady Guild, The Greek Catholic Union, The Mingo Women’s Club, and the  Steubenville Art Association.  She was graduated from Mingo High School in 1937 and retired from the Mingo Post Office with 23 years of service.  Mary is survived by two sons, William (Judy Kotur) Criss of  Nipomo, CA., and David (Donna) Criss of Toronto, four grandchildren: Bill (Kelly) Criss, Brian Criss, Kimberly (Josh) Pivac and Tracy (Garvey) Jonassaint; four great grandchildren: Troy, Kinley, G.R. and Max and loving former Daughter-In-Law Kay Lynn Criss of Toronto and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  Friends may call at the Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Avenue, Mingo Junction on Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m.  Funeral Liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 207 Standard Avenue, Mingo Junction, (Everyone Meet At Church) with  Fr. James Atkins officiating.  Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery.  Parastas service Tuesday 4:30 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. John Catholic Church.
