Mary Louise Helsley, 92, of Steubenville, Ohio died Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Valley Hospice Care Center North. She was born July 28, 1915 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late H. John and Myrta Yocum Mutton. Mary was a 1933 graduate of Steubenville High School, and retired as a manager from Muttons Hardware. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Steubenville Women’s Club and Jefferson County Historical Society. Preceding Mary in death were her first husband Robert M. Helsley; second husband Nelson Helsley; brother John M. “Jack” Mutton and sister Virginia Tarr. Surviving are her sister-in-law Grace Albaugh Mutton of Steubenville, OH; nieces and nephews Susie Gibson, John R. Mutton, Kathy (Dennis) McGrath and Richard Mutton all of Steubenville, OH and John (Denise) Tarr and James Tarr both of Montana. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and at Covenant Presbyterian Church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. with Rev. Paul Danielson and Rev. Ron Miller officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Valley Hospice, 380 Summit Avenue, Steubenville, OH 43952.
