Mary S. “Bay” Livingston, 89, of Mingo Junction, Ohio died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Gables Care Center. She was born March 2, 1919 in Mingo Junction the daughter of the late Ernest G. and Carrie A. Glasner Smith. She was a retired employee of Jefferson County Community Action Council serving as the director of the Senior Employment program. Mary was a member of Mingo First U.P. Church and adult choir; Mingo Womens Club; American Legion Auxiliary; Steubenville Moose and Ladies Auxiliary of United Transportation Union 421. She was a 1937 graduate of Mingo High School. Preceding Mary in death were her husband Gordon Ray Livingston whom she married December 25, 1948 in Washington, DC and two brothers Harry & Delbert Smith.Mary enjoyed playing piano, traveling and working with the elderly.Surviving are her son Jeffrey Livingston of Mingo; brother-in-law Edward Livingston and sister-in-law Lavan Livingston of West Virginia; nieces Janis Easter of Bedford, VA, Debra Schmitt of Wintersville, Charlotte Kimbel, Keturah Livingston & Lavan Livingston all of West Virginia; nephews David Smith of Poland, OH, Larry Smith of Huron, OH, Charles Ray Livingston & Keith Livingston.Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Avenue, on Tuesday 4-7 p.m. and on Wednesday at First U.P. Church from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Stan Fedyszyn officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben
