Mary L. Rhon 77 of Bloomingdale, Ohio died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at the Palliative Care Unit. She was born in Weirton, West Virginia on March 28, 1927 a daughter of the late Leo and Elizabeth Hayden Reardon. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Wintersville and its C.C.W.; A.A.R.P. and was employed as the activities director for Hancock County Sheltered Workshop, Inc. Preceding Mary in death were one son Walter David Collins; three brothers and two sisters. Mary is survived by her husband William R. Rhon; one son James F. Collins and his fiancee Betty Stewart of Weirton; two daughters Rebecca (Steve) Jones of Dayton, Ohio and Jacqueline Collins of Steubenville; one stepson William T. Rhon of Steubenville; three stepdaughters Brenda Kay (Gary) Knight of Massillon, Ohio, Pamela Sue (Albert) Egy of Unionport, Ohio and Sally Jo (Nelson) Vecchione of Clarksville, Tennessee; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben. Vigil 7:45 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Assn.
