Obituary For Mary Kathryn LaPrete

Mary Kathryn LaPrete, 95, of Steubenville, OH died Friday January 16, 2009 at Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born January 14, 1914 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mabel Curry Maley. Mary Kathryn was a member of St. Peter’s Church. She was a former physical education teacher at Steubenville Catholic Central High School. Mary Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Thomas LaPrete; three brothers Donald, Edward and Joseph Maley and two sisters Constance Miller and Angela Lucas. Surviving are three sons Robert (Dianne) LaPrete of Renton, WA, Thomas (Elaine) LaPrete of Newtown, PA and James J. (Donna) LaPrete of Wintersville, OH; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Wednesday 6-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass will be held at St. Peter’s Church Thursday 10 a.m. with Msgr. George Yontz officiating. Vigil service Wednesday 7:30 p.m. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
