Mary Jane Shepherd, 66, of Steubenville, Ohio was called home to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2022 in the loving care of Catherine’s Care Center and Southern Care Hospice. Born February 16, 1956, she was the oldest of four daughters of the late Earl V. and Mary Louise Givens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her baby sister, Susan Marie Givens.
Mary Jane, also lovingly known as Aunt Jane-Jane, lived a life full of love and compassion for her family and pets. She made many friends because of her kind heart and willingness to help others. Her life’s passion was to see the joy and happiness in everything. She had many blessings including a beautiful singing voice and would sing for any occasion.
Mary Jane is survived by her daughter, Christine Marie Kulow, grandchildren Kurtis Nathanael, Luke Isaac and Rose-Evelyn Naomi Kulow, sisters Linda Baker and Carol (Kevin) Malesick and niece Amanda (Paul) Kincaid.
She found peace and comfort with her faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be sadly missed and will remain in our hearts until we meet again.
A private family celebration of life and burial were held at Union Cemetery. Services were provided by Shorac Funeral Home.
