Mary I. Tessler of Steubenville, Ohio died Monday, September 26, 2005, at St. Mary’s of Michigan Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. She was born March 10, 1919, in Noble County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Rebar Brondos. Mary was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She married Andrew C. Tessler on June 14, 1941. He died August 23, 1990. Also preceding Mary in death were two brothers, Paul and Edward Brondos, and one sister, Eleanor Reitter. Mary is survived by her son, Andrew E. (Kathy) Tessler of Saginaw; granddaughter Heather M. Tessler, and her friend, Andrew Oberdier, of Toledo, Ohio; a grandson, Andrew E. Tessler Jr., of Howell, Michigan; a brother, Dan (Martha Jane) Brondos, of Bloomingdale, Ohio; and two sisters Pauline Brondos of Willoughby Hills, Ohio, and Doris Vercimak of Sacramento, California. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio (740.264.0563) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Friends may call at St. Mark Lutheran Church on Saturday from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Donald Hayes officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
