Mary C. (Fryer) Sitko, 93, of Steubenville, OH died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Valley Hospice North.  She was born in Steubenville on March 19, 1918 the daughter of the late John and Jessie Whaley Fryer, Sr.  She was a member of Finley United Methodist Church.  Mary had worked as a welder for a defense plant during WWII and later for Union Metal.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Sitko on April 5, 2000; brothers John Fryer, Jr. and Steven J. Fryer.  Mary is survived her cousin and caregivers Walter and Geraldine (Whaley) McCain Kelly and Connie (McCain) Long.  Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home (formerly McClave’s), 611 N. 4th Street, Steubenville, OH on Saturday from 10a.m. until time of service at Noon with Pastor Bob Carson officiating.  Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.  Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice.
