Obituary For Mary C. Lupinetti

Mary C. Lupinetti, 97, of  Wintersville, Ohio died Saturday, Feburary 11, 2012 at Gables Care Center. She was born January 28, 1915 in Wellsburg, WV a daughter of the late Felix & Modesta Spognardi Diserio. Mary was a very active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for more than 55 years. She was also a member of C.W.C., St. Francis Society, Hawthorne Garden Club and Red Hat Society. For patrons of the church’s annual pierogie sales, she will be remembered as “The Raisin Cookie Lady”. Over the years she baked thousands of cookies for the sale. Friends and neighbors will remember her spectacular seasonal flower displays. Her family will forever remember her loving nature and her most perfect raviolis. Preceding Mary in death were her husband Louis L. Lupinetti on March 8, 2002; brothers Joseph & Paul Diserio; and sisters Frances Diserio, Frances Winski & Elizabeth Olszeski.Mary is survived by her children Jim (Georgann) Lupinetti of Akron, Claire (Frank) Lovinski of  Wintersville & Mary Louise Diefenbach of Columbus; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings Dora McDermott, Virginia Diserio, Eugene, Alfred & William Diserio all of Wellsburg.Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 10 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament with Msgr. Kurt Kemo officiating. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.Vigil  3:45 p.m. ThursdayMemorials may be directed to Charity Hospice.
