Obituary For Mary C. Kunzler

Mary C. Kunzler, 70, Steubenville, Ohio passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at Weirton Medical Center. She was born September 5, 1945 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late Harold and Ann Yeager Kunzler. Mary was a member of Triumph of the Cross (Holy Rosary) Catholic Church. She was a 1967 graduate of the College of Steubenville and received a Master’s Degree in Education from UCLA. Mary was a very loving and caring teacher. She was a member of the Jefferson County Retired Teachers Association. Mary was a 5th grade teacher for the Toronto City Schools retiring after 37 years of service. She was loved by her nieces and nephews who took exceptional care of her. Preceding Mary in death were her brother James P. “Jim” Kunzler and sister-in-law Karen Kunzler. Surviving are her brother John (Wendy) Kunzler of Green Valley, AZ; four nephews Michael (Dina) Kunzler of Lancaster, OH, Daniel (Wendy) Kunzler of Middlefield, OH, Brian (Mindy) Kunzler of Aurora, CO and Paul Kunzler of Phoenix, AZ; five nieces Laura (Barry) Coon of Highlands Ranch, CO, Jennifer Kunzler of Thornville, OH, Renee (John) Brothers of Bloomingdale, OH and Nicole Kunzler of Thornville, OH and Kathryn Kunzler of Laveen, AZ and many great nieces and great nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville on Thursday 4 – 8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday 10 a.m. at Triumph of the Cross (Holy Rosary) Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Nau officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Vigil service Thursday 7:45 p.m. Memorial donations may be directed to American Cancer Society or Toronto City Schools.

    Dear Kunzler Family,I loved Mary. She had such a kind and loving soul. She is now at peace and celebrating with her family in Heaven, and will be there to greet you, with a smile on her beautiful face and a warm hug.     May God be with all of you during this time of Mary's loss. She was a lovely lady, who always knew how to laugh and enjoy herself. I know that all of you will miss her. Now she gets to go celebrate with her parents and Karen and Jim. Remember as a teacher she touched many lives, as well as all of you. God Bless!Mickey

    Our Condolences ! Ms. Kunzler was my Fifth grade teacher over 40 years ago! Many fond memories from Franklin School!

    Dear John and family,It saddens me to learn of Mary's illness and death. I know she was a good teacher and wonderful person. I am sorry it is not possible for me to return for her services.
