Mary Alexis Krnich 52 of Rocky River, OH died Wednesday, July 20, 2005 in Belize, South America, while vacationing. She was born June 19, 1953 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of Helen Shekey Krnich of Wintersville, OH and the late Nick Krnich. Preceded in death by a brother, Mark M. Krnich. Mary graduated from Wintersville High School in 1971 and went on to receive her degree from Kent State University. She taught in Cleveland district schools for the past 26 years, the last 22 years as an English teacher at Collinwood High School. Mary was recently mentioned in Who’s Who of American Teachers and is a member of the National Association of Teacher’s of English and Cleveland Teachers union. Mary attended Rock Port Methodist Church in Rocky River. In addition to her mother Mary is survived by an uncle, Walter Shekey of New Cumberland, WV and aunt, Sophia Carevich of Riverview, Mich.
