Obituary For Martha "Ruth" Gump

Martha “Ruth” Gump, 96, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Weirton Medical Center. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on November 24, 1925 the daughter of the late Grover & Martha Melson Parrish. She was baptized into the Lord’s church as a teenager at the Steubenville Y.W.C.A. and was currently attending the Weirton Heights Church of Christ. Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Delbert O. Gump in 1994; and 3 older brothers R. Harvey, O. Dail & G. Austin Parrish.

Ruth is survived by her children Bruce (Barbara ) Gump, Kathy (Jay) Yeager, David Gump & Mary Lu (Victor) Wigal; 12 grandchildren & 19 great grandchildren.

Proverbs 31:10-31

A private memorial will be held at the convenience of her children.

Burial at Fort Steuben.

    Ruth was most assuredly the Christian woman of Proverbs 31. Ruth was a friend, a sister in Christ, and a wonderful Christian example to all who knew her. She was loved by everyone. I will truly miss her.
