Mrs. Freese and my mother Florence Reynolds were good friends and teaching buddies at Harding. My Mom taught 5th grade. They often rode to school together as we lived in the 1300 block of Oregon. Mom thought the world of her and her sister. I saw her a couple of years ago at Jefferson County Historical and was so thrilled to be able to sit and chat and give her a hug. She was a great lady and true friend to my Mom.

Mrs. Freese was my Kindergarten teacher at Buena Vista. I have wonderful memories of her and close friends I met in her class. Buena Vista is gone, my best friend at that time is gone and now Mrs. Freeze is gone, but they all live on in my heart. She helped to shape the minds of many throughout her life and will be missed.

Barb, please accept my sympathies on the loss of your mother. I know you were the light of your parents' lives.Your family was very special to mine. I grew up hearing all about the Lodges. On my bedhead are three Christmas figurines that your aunts gave me when I was a very little girl. I last saw your mom at my mother's funeral; I was so grateful that she was there. Please accept the comfort that Jesus wants to give you.
