Marlene A. Smith, 90, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Sienna Skilled Care. She was born on January 1, 1931 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late John H. & Gretta E. “Betty” Sutton Smith. Marlene graduated from Clark Gilbert Silverthorn School of Cosmetology, and retired after 42 years of service as a Tin Plate Inspector at Weirton Steel Co. and was a 25 Year Club member. Preceding Marlene in death were her three siblings Jack Smith, Robert R. Smith & Shirley Smith.
Surviving is her sister-in-law Emma Smith; nephews and nieces Jerry (Cindy) Smith, Lisa (John) Rosa, Tammy (Michael) DeLeonardis and Rebecca (Eric) Avie; great nephews and nieces John (Alli) Rosa, Austin DeLeonardis, Matthew Rosa, Kimberly Rosa and Shaye DeLeonardis.
The family would like to thank Sienna Skilled Care and all the staff for the wonderful care they gave Marlene for the last six years.
Burial services 10 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery Chapel in Wheeling, WV

My mother and Marlene were best friends. I remember Marlene and Shirley visiting us in when we lived in Florida and they all just had such fun together. Now all three are gone - my mother, Marlene and Shirley. I know they will meet up in heaven and resume where they left off.
