Mark D. Smith, 68, of Steubenville, OH, passed away on July 21, 2017 of congestive heart failure. Mark attended Steubenville High School, and served in the US Army. He worked for the City of Steubenville for 30 years in the maintenance department. He was an avid Steelers and Steubenville Big Red football fan. Mark is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn Smith, his parents, Hugo and Bette Finley Damico, his sisters, Deborah Booth (Jim), Pam McCullough (Joe), Sherry Smith (Randy), and Toni Damico; his brother; Hugo Damico, (Jane), and many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A memorial service for the family will be held later. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663. The family wishes to thank Community Hospice and the Carriage Inn of Cadiz for their help and care.
