Mark A. Sargeant 42 of Wintersville died Tuesday, August 19, 2003 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born in Steubenville, OH on November 22, 1960 the son of Edward W. “Bud” and Freda M. Bryan Sargeant, of Richmond, OH He was a member of Finley United Methodist Church, Steubenville, Jefferson County Sportsman Club, Pleasant Hill Baseball Association, having coached the “Reds”. He was an avid sports fan and a 1979 graduate of Jefferson Union High School. He was a clerk for the United States Post Office, Toronto, OH. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Edward and Harriet Campbell Sargeant, Sr. and maternal grandparents Charles J. Bryan and Anna Bryan Roberts. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Joy Grafton Sargeant, whom he married 6-27-1992, son Troy Alan Sargeant, sister Cynthia A. (James “Gus”) Horan of Richmond, OH. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Thursday 7-9p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Friends may also call on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Finley United Methodist Church, Steubenville, OH with Rev.
