Marjorie Connor, 95, of Steubenville, Ohio died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Martha Manor, Steubenville. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on December 17, 1920 the daughter of the late Endsley and May E. Lambert Griffith. Preceded also in death by her husband Paul F. Connor whom she married on February 4, 1942 and died February of 1988; three sisters Edith May Dawson, Emma Conroy and Grace Balbach. Marjorie worked for Sears for 16 years and was a member of the Retirees Breakfast Club, Buckeye Club and the J.F.K. resident council. She was an active and longtime member of First Westminster Presbyterian Church and Helen Martin Circle and graduate of the former Wells High School. She is survived by her son Michael (Nina) Connor of Steubenville, daughter Stephanie Eye of Millersville, PA, four grandchildren Denise (David) Landers, Thomas Connor, Patricia (Gene) Mozena and Dr. Jennifer Eye and her husband Joseph Peden, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Per Marjorie’s wishes there will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held at First Westminster Presbyterian Church, 235 N. 4th Street, Steubenville on Sunday, April 3rd at 12:30 p.m. where memorial contributions may be directed. Rev. Samuel T. Gibb officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
