Marion D. Schrock 93 passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at Dixon Health Care Center, Wintersville, Ohio. He was born in Harrisonville, Missouri on May 31, 1909 a son of the late Samuel M. and Katy Hostetler Schrock. Marion spent his boyhood years on a farm near Shelbyville, IL. Under the tutelage of his brothers, Marion developed his skills as a carpenter and electrician. Until his retirement, Marion supported himself as a self-employed carpenter in the Coshocton, Ohio area. After his retirement in 1984, he moved to Steubenville. Marion had a keen interest in and understanding of mathematics, astonomy, poetry, physics, and other subjects. However beginning in 1943, and continuing up to the time of his death, Marion's passions were that of the study of the Bible, his personal devotion to following in the footsteps of Jesus, and spreading the Gospel message to those interested. His inspiration was based on his conviction that God has a beautiful plan of salvation for everyone who has ever existed. Throughout his nearly sixty years of consecration, Marion wrote extensively and lectured throughout the United States concerning the Word of God. For more than 25 years, he ministered to several small congregations in central Ohio. Preceding Marion in death were his parents and five brothers Irvin, Amos, Arthur, Paul and Wilford Schrock.
