Obituary For Marie E. Peterson

Marie Elaine Peterson, age 71, of Wintersville, Ohio and Waynesburg, Pennsylvania died Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Golden Living in Waynesburg.  Marie was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on September 5, 1941 the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Belle Eddie Ragan.  Marie retired from the laundry department at the former Ohio Valley Hospital.  She held church membership at the Unionport United Methodist Church and also enjoyed going to stock car races and taking care of her dogs.Marie is survived by her husband, Warren Russell “Pete” “Squeak” Peterson Sr. of Wintersville, OH; her sons, Steven Hinkle of Florida, Jeff (Jackie) Hinkle of Follansbee, WV and James Hinkle of New York, NY; six grandchildren; two step-sons, Warren Russell (Kim) Peterson Jr., of Bradenton, FL and Todd (Nina) Peterson of St. Petersburg, FL; caregivers, Elizabeth “Liz” Stahl and George Flenniken; and godson, George (Sonnie Jo) Novotony; sister-in-law, Lucretia “Toots” Ross of Wintersville and brother-in-law, David Peterson of Bloomingdale. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12:30 p.m., with Pastor Chuck Mehl officiating.  Burial will be private at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.  Memorials contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Jefferson County Chapter.

    Her son's name is spelled Stephen. James Hinkle lives in Niagara Falls, NY and Marie has 7 grandchildren.
