Marguerite Hardman, 89, of Wintersville, OH died Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Trinity East Acuity Care Unit. She was born July 10, 1917 in Freed, WV, the daughter of the late Seth R. and Iva D. Duvall Collins. Preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James H. Hardman on August 2, 1977; son Jimmie Lee Hardman; four grandchildren Bill Cullen, Shasta Hardman, Butch and Angie Miro; four brothers Rex, Arley, Lonnie and William J. Collins; three sisters Myrtle Green, Neva White and Betty Wylie; and an infant sister. After a wonderful life on earth with family and friends, she has gone home to be with Jesus and to join loved ones she has missed. Not only did she leave footprints for us to follow, she left treasured memories, knowledge, laughter, and most of all love that will forever fill our hearts. Although the grief is hard to bear, we know that she is resting now and that we will meet again. Until then, she will be an angel by our sides to light and guide our way. She was a member of United Brethren Church; RSVP volunteer at Trinity East for 37 years; Wintersville Friendship Club; YWCA; Mingo Junction Senior Activity Center; Scrabble Club at Jefferson Community College and an avid traveler. Mother of 8 children, 5 sons and 3 daughters, she is survived by Robert (Kay) Hardman of Bloomingdale, Richard (Sharon) Hardman of Las Vegas, NV, Lanny Hardman of East Point, Fl, Jeffrey (Tammy) Hardman of Wintersville, Nina (Bud) Cullen of Wintersville, Linda (Bob) Daily of Bloomingdale, and Cindee (Dave) Frazier of Wintersville; She was Grandma to 26 Grandchildren, 33 Great-Grandchildren, and 26 Great-Great-Grandchildren; two brothers Jesse and Harley Collins. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Monday 7-9 p.m., Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. David Sperry officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. Memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, Jefferson Co. Chapter.
