Obituary For Margaret McCaig

Margaret McCaig, 100, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on December 14, 2020 at the Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born on April 22, 1920 in Somerset, PA a daughter of the late Baptist and Elizabeth Baroni Magnetto. Margaret worked for many years at Thrift Drug Store in Steubenville. Margaret was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Women’s Army Corp. and the Town and Country Golf League located at Belleview Golf Course in Steubenville. As an avid golfer, Margaret was able to achieve a hole-in-one in her 70’s.

Margaret was preceeded in death by her husband, Andrew “Andy” McCaig; infant daughter, Yvonne McCaig and her eight siblings. Margaret is survived by two sons, Gary Andrew (Becky) McCaig and David John (Patti) McCaig; a daughter, Denise (Floyd) Webber; six granddaughters, Susan Mamula; Stephanie McCaig; Erin Loy; Amy Carothers; Aundrea Simko and Nikki Knight; nine great-grandchildren, Drew, Rachel, Isabella, Mia, Lexi, Onia, Wesley, Ethan and Kendra.

All services are private. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 415 Adams Street., Steubenville, OH 43952.
