Obituary For Margaret H. Perry

Margaret H. Perry, 85, of  Wintersville died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Trinity West.  She was born in Detroit, MI on November 3, 1926 a daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Hogle Haag.  Margaret was a registered nurse, graduating from Grace Hospital School of Nursing in Detroit, MI.  She had worked at the former Gill Memorial Hospital and retired from the former Ohio Valley Hospital.  She was an accomplished pianist, having played piano and organ at Wintersville United Methodist Church.  Margaret also was the first female member of the Wintersville Volunteer Fire Dept., working to help train and develop the emergency squad and was also a life member of Wintersville American Legion Post #557 Auxiliary.  Margaret is survived by her husband Albert L. Perry; sons David P. and Thomas A. Perry, both of Wintersville; brother Frank Haag of Waynesboro, PA; grandchildren Joshua, Bryan, Amanda, Mark and Daniel Perry.  Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

    Uncle LeRoy, David & Tom, We were so sorry to hear of Aunt Margaret's passing. She was my favorite aunt and Doug says "She was the one that I liked, right!". She was always there for me and she taught me a lot. She will be missed and never forgotten. Sincerely, Doug & Carol

    Al I am sorry to hear about Margaret. She was well liked and a good friend to all that knew her. We had a good time and received a lot of training in the Department. She help to bring us up to the Standards of a good squad. And she was always there when you needed a friend. Please tell your family I send my sympathy's. And I will remember her always. Bob James

    Margaret was also survived by her two oldest grandchildren Shannon Anderson (Craig) of Steubenville OH and Erin Thomas (Lewis) of Weirton WV. And 6 great grandchildren Tia, Anijah, Craig Jr, Kyree, Kayleigh and Isaiah. We loved her and will miss her!

    I'll always remember Mrs. Perry from working with her on mutual aid calls with WVFD and also when she periodically was a substitute in Dr. Snyder's office. A jovial soul who made the worst times bearable. Rest in Peace. You've earned it well.
